How to verify a file
Every release is built only by GitHub Actions from the public source code, with SHA-256 checksums and build provenance.
Compare your file’s checksum with the release’s SHA256SUMS.txt. If they match, the file is unmodified.
SHA256SUMS.txt- macOS
shasum -a 256 whowolf-*.zip- Linux
sha256sum whowolf-*.deb- Windows
certutil -hashfile whowolf-*.zip SHA256
Without a paid signature, macOS and Windows show a warning on first launch. The checksum tells you the file is genuine.
