Terms of use
Last updated: 29 October 2026
1. Scope
These terms of use apply to the website whowolf.de, the relay server play.whowolf.de and the software packages published on whowolf.de and in the repository github.com/nurkert/whowolf (together “the service”). The service is provided by the private individual named in the imprint (“the operator”). It is a non-commercial open-source project.
2. Free of charge, no availability
Use of the service is free of charge; no paid contract is concluded. There is no entitlement to availability, to particular features or to support. The operator may change, restrict, interrupt or discontinue the service at any time without notice. The software is under development (beta) and may contain errors.
3. License and warranty
The software is licensed under the Apache License 2.0 and provided as is, without warranty. Sections 7 and 8 of the license govern warranty and liability under the license, as far as permitted by law.
4. Liability
The operator is liable for damage arising from the free provision of the service only in cases of intent and gross negligence. Liability for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected. Any further liability is excluded.
5. Own installations and third-party offers
The license permits running, modifying and distributing the software. Whoever runs or distributes their own relay server, a copy (fork), a modified version or a third-party offer, such as another party’s AltStore or SideStore source, is solely responsible for it. The operator has no influence on these and assumes no responsibility for them. Only whowolf.de, play.whowolf.de and the releases in the nurkert/whowolf repository originate from the operator.
6. Obligations of users
The relay server may be used for playing only. In particular, attacks on the server, overloading it with connections or messages and attempts to circumvent technical limits are prohibited. Users choose their player names themselves and are responsible for them; unlawful or insulting names are not permitted. In the event of violations the operator may limit or block connections.
7. External links
The service contains links to third-party websites. Their respective providers are solely responsible for their content.
8. Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which users have their habitual residence remain unaffected. Should any provision be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
