An office, not a role
The mayor is a setting: the host turns it on, and it is part of the Full stage level. Anyone can become mayor, whatever their secret role. Even a werewolf.
The election
When there is no living mayor, the village elects one by day, openly, as if by a show of hands:
- Every living player taps their candidate in a dedicated election menu and confirms. You may pick yourself too.
- Everyone sees who backs whom. Changing your pick is allowed until it is decided.
- It is decided once everyone has voted and one player leads alone, at the latest when the discussion ends.
- On a tie, the village stays without a mayor until the next day.
The winner gets the chain of office: it appears on their card on every phone, and they briefly stand tall for everyone.
The double vote
In the vote, the mayor’s vote counts twice. That makes them powerful, and a target for the werewolves. If they die, the village elects a new one the next day.
Tips
- Choose carefully: a werewolf with a double vote is dangerous for the village.
- Watch who runs: whoever campaigns hard for the office may have a reason.
