Role

Witch: the werewolf role with two potions

She has a healing potion and a poison, each only once in the whole game. The witch can save a life or end one, and sometimes both in one night.

Her ability

The witch belongs to the village. At night she comes after the werewolves and sees whom the werewolves took. Then she decides:

  • Healing potion: she saves tonight’s victim. If she is the victim herself, she can save herself too.
  • Poison: she poisons another player, who then dies as well. She cannot poison herself.
  • Both in the same night is allowed, and so is doing nothing.

Each potion lasts only once per game. Once it is used up, she can no longer pick it.

How to play her

  • Don’t waste the healing potion: who knows whether the first night’s victim mattered? Some save it for the seer.
  • Poison is risky: a poisoned villager helps the wolves. Wait until you are fairly sure.
  • Silence protects: if the pack knows who the witch is, they take her.

The witch cannot save a victim of the door signs in Whowolf’s night. If the hunter dies of her poison, he still gets his shot.
